The Sharrow Lantern Carnival is an annual community arts event for families, run by the Sharrow Lantern Carnival Association, a small group of volunteers. The main event attracts around 3000 people, hundreds of whom bring hand-made lanterns to parade through the streets in a celebration of creativity and togetherness.
